New Items

New items come with a full manufacturer’s guarantee. Please ensure you send off any warranty/guarantee cards to the manufacturer once you receive your goods.

Guarantees are a contract between you and the manufacturer, so please ensure you send off any warranty/guarantee cards to the manufacturer once you receive your goods and keep the original purchase receipt.

Second Hand / Used Items

Second hand/used items include a one month guarantee from the point of sale (the date the item was purchased). This is regardless of how many times the item has or has not been used.

If your item develops a fault within the first month of purchase and is outside of our distance seller 14-day money back guarantee (see Returns policy above), MJL Tackle will endeavour to cover the cost of repair or replace with a like for like item, provided the item falls within the qualifying criteria. Where neither a repair nor a like for like alternative is possible, an alternative option will be presented.

Any claim will need to be made in writing within the guarantee period via post or email, including the original purchase receipt and clear details of the fault/problem. Once the claim has been received, we will contact you to arrange the next steps.

In some circumstances the customer may be required to send the item back to MJL Tackle before a decision can be made. A member of the team will contact you should this be required.

Please note we do not cover:

Damage caused by the customer or as a result of misuse or any modification carried out to the item since purchase

A decision to change your mind about an item in relation to it being the wrong size or you don’t like the colour etc.

There is a limit of one claim per purchase, as defined on the receipt, during the cover period

Please note that our guarantee does not cover the cost of postage. The customer will be required to cover any incurred postage costs as a result of any repair or replacement part/s. We strongly recommend items are packaged carefully and sent tracked and traced with any necessary insurance.

GOLD COVER GUARANTEE

A Gold Cover Guarantee is available, as an additional purchase, on qualifying Second Hand/used items over the purchase value of £200.

The Gold Cover extends the standard guarantee period to a total of three months from the point of sale (the date the item was purchased). This is regardless of how many times the item has or has not been used.

The Gold cover will need to be purchased at the same time as the Second Hand item to qualify – proof of purchase, via the original receipt, will be required against any subsequent claim.

The customer will be responsible for arranging this carriage. We strongly recommend items are packaged carefully and sent tracked and traced with any necessary insurance. The MJL Tackle postage contribution will be refunded via Bank Transfer, Paypal or Store Credit once the item has been returned back to the customer.
